If you walk pass the shop in the morning, you can see the chef killing and preparing the eel in the window. Dinner starts around 530-6pm and can get crowded fast. Was introduced to the restaurant by a local Japanese and is one of the older unagi restaurants around. Unagi is very good, so are the other items on the menu.
The unagi don is the best that I've had by far. And they have special way of eating it. You might wanna get an Aichi friend to help you with it.

Had an excellent "Mikawa red chicken" in red miso nabe.Excellently accompanied with some Daiginjo Sake.What a great place!
If you like Hatcho Miso, you will love miso. It's a sweet and spicy miso soup, in which Mikawa red chicken is gutted and served on a melted egg. I'm very satisfied with plenty of onion konjac as well as chicken. The eel rolls are pre-made and not very tasty, I recommend Uzakuha!
Even better then蓬萊軒。 the price is a bit more expensive than蓬萊軒also
